Plenty of stylish solo seats exist for the home customizer looking for a no-frills place to rest his backside, but only Biltwell’s Thinline solo seat offers adjustable spring-mounting hardware
technology to make installation on custom choppers a little bit easier. As you may know, if the spring bungs on your chopper frame don’t align with the threaded studs on the bottom of your solo
seat, easy installation is practically impossible. Biltwell has addressed this design shortcoming by allowing the carriage bolts on the bottom of this solo seat to slide inside two channels so
you can fine-tune their location relative to the bungs on the frame. The result is a solo seat that fits as good as it looks. The Thinline solo seat features a stamped steel pan with raised ribs
and Biltwell anvil branding for beauty and strength. Its satin black electroplated finish is both rugged and stylish. The molded polyurethane foam padding is thin yet comfortable, and follows the
kicked-up shape of the Thinline pan perfectly to provide support for your backside. Carriage bolt hardware for mounting the springs and seat hinge is included.
• Rugged stamped steel pan with reinforcement ribs for added strength
• Durable black electroplated finish for protection
• Adjustable carriage bolts for easy mounting
• Thin molded polyurethane foam with durable vinyl cover
Fitment: This is a custom motorcycle component that requires basic fabrication skills and mechanical acumen to install properly. If your motorcycle already has a seat hinge and spring bungs installed on the frame, you’re halfway there, though some additional modifications may be required. Our Slimline seat looks best on bikes with steep backbones and short rear ends, such as many Japanese and British chops, and many rigid H-D XL’s.
Construction: Heavy gauge stamped steel pan with high rear kick for added support. Stamped-in ridges on the pan increase stiffness and give the pan a clean, classic look. Matte black electroplated finish. Cover is hand stitched heavy-duty vinyl and is fastened to underside of seat pan with rivets for durability. Foam is molded polyurethane, approximately 1” thick.
Installation details: A unique adjustable carriage bolt system on the underside of the seat pan allows you to fine tune the location of the seat hinge and both springs. This is especially helpful if you are installing our Slimline seat on a frame with preexisting spring bungs welded onto the rear cross member. This is not a bolt-on produc
